THE SHORT ANSWER

Transcription first, then translation, in one step.

Voice Note Transcriber turns the voice message into text, detects the language it was spoken in, and translates it into the language you pick. You read the result; nothing is read aloud.

Unlike tools that only translate, it can also summarize a long message before translating it, transcribe without translating when you only need the words, and save results in folders you can search later.

STEP BY STEP

How to translate a voice message

  1. 01

Send the voice message to the app

From WhatsApp or Telegram, press and hold the voice message and share it to Voice Note Transcriber. You can also pick an audio or video file in the app, or record a conversation directly.

  2. 02

    Choose Translate

Choose Translate for the full message, or Summarize + Translate for the key points. Then pick the language you want to read it in. You don't need to tell the app which language was spoken.

  3. 03

    Read, copy, save

Open the result, copy the parts you need into your reply, and save it to a folder. Saved results sync to your account.

LANGUAGES

Which languages can it translate into?

The app detects the spoken language for you. You choose the language to translate into from the list in the app, which currently includes:

  • English
  • Turkish
  • Spanish
  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Portuguese
  • Arabic
  • Hindi
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Chinese
  • Russian
  • Dutch

The list can change between app updates; the app always shows the current options when you choose Translate.

GOOD TO KNOW

What a voice message translator like this does, and doesn't do

  • It translates recordings, not live conversations. Send a message or file after it's recorded; it isn't a real-time interpreter.
  • The result is text. You read the translation; the app doesn't speak it back or create translated audio.
  • Check what matters. Machine translation can miss slang, names, or context. For anything important, also run Transcribe on the same message to see the original words, or check with the sender.
  • Processing happens online. Audio is sent to AI providers for processing and removed afterwards. Only results you save are kept.

Only need the words in the original language? See how to transcribe WhatsApp voice messages or transcribe audio files.

QUESTIONS

Translating voice messages, answered.

How do I translate a WhatsApp voice message?

Press and hold the voice message in WhatsApp, share it to Voice Note Transcriber, and choose Translate or Summarize + Translate. Then pick the language you want to read it in.

Do I need to know which language the message is in?

No. The app detects the spoken language and shows it with the result. You only choose the language to translate into.

Can I get a summary instead of a full translation?

Yes. Choose Summarize + Translate to get a translated summary. Summaries come as short, detailed, bullet points, action items, or dates and deadlines.

Does it translate voice messages in real time?

No. Voice Note Transcriber works on recordings you share, import, or record in the app. It isn't a live conversation interpreter.

Will it read the translation out loud?

No. The translation is text that you can read, copy, and save.

What happens to the voice message I share?

Voice Note Transcriber sends the audio to AI providers for processing and removes it afterwards. Results you save sync to your account, and you can delete them, or all of your app data, from the app.
