Birthday Reminder has a month calendar for birthdays and a home list that groups upcoming birthdays into today, within a week, this month and next month.
It is a dedicated birthday app: it does not replace your regular calendar, and it keeps your birthdays, reminders and gift ideas together.

The month calendar is good for planning ahead, for example when several birthdays fall in the same month. The list is good for what is coming next: it groups birthdays into today, within a week, this month and next month.

Import instead of retyping
Add from Contacts reads the birthday saved on each contact. Add from Calendar looks for calendar events that look like birthdays. Both ask for your permission first, and you can review what is found before it is added.

No. It is a birthday-focused app with its own calendar, countdowns, reminders and gift ideas. Your regular calendar stays as it is.
Can I import birthdays from my calendar?
Yes. Add from Calendar looks for birthday events in your calendars. You can also import from contacts or add people manually.
Which first day of the week can I choose?
The settings let you choose any day of the week as the first day.
Is it free?
It is free to download, with a free plan that has limits. Premium is an optional subscription.
